David Wood has been serving as Senior Pastor since July of
1997. He grew up in Warren,
Arkansas and has served in churches in Arkansas, Texas, and Indiana. He has received degrees in
Accounting (BBA) and in Pastoral Ministries (MDIV). Even though he is a gifted
preacher, his heart is teaching people in the area of personal
evangelism. He is certified
in Evangelism Explosion, Continuing Witness Training, and FAITH Evangelism
Training. His wife Gail serves as church organist and librarian and works
outside the church as an elementary school librarian and as a consultant
for Creative Memories. The Woods have four children and seven grandchildren.

Steve Ford serves as Minister of Education and
Outreach. Bro. Steve is a
native of Magnolia and graduate of Southern Arkansas University. He comes to our staff from the
International Mission Board, where he served eight years in Portugal and
10 years in Burkina Faso as a foreign missionary. He brings to his position a
passion for discipleship and spiritual growth through the study of God's
Word and a missionary desire to reach the lost in our community and around
the world. Bro. Steve has
studied at New Orleans, Southern and Mid-America Baptist Theological
seminaries. He and his wife
Sharon have two children, Natalie Gilbert of Memphis, Tenn., and John, who
is currently serving in the U.S. Army. Sharon is a foreign language
teacher certified in both Spanish and French.

Lee Hansard joined the Central staff as minister of
music in 2003. He is a
graduate of California Baptist College and holds a master of music degree
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lee served churches in California,
Texas and Alaska before coming here to Arkansas. He and his wife Sue have three
grown children, Jeremy, Jacob and Jonathan. Sue loves to work with
children, is a flautist and an avid scrap booker. Lee's main desire is that our
church be a worshipping church, that every person who comes through our
doors has the opportunity to meet God through worship.

Chuck Shields, our youth minister, grew up in New Mexico and
Arizona and attended college in Tennessee.
He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
with master's degrees in religious education and marriage and family
counseling. Chuck and his
wife Holley, a physical therapist specializing in pediatrics, have one
daughter. Chuck has worked
with youth in three different states and three different countries and is
a licensed professional counselor in Texas and Arkansas. His hobbies
include running and reading.
